Description We are the main innovators in this platform. Our team bent over backwards to acquire one of the very first Blackwings in North America, serial number 0026. We started working the day the car arrived, and have been developing a proper tuning solution for these cars over the last two years. Our flagship CT4-V Blackwing already has 12,000 miles, 320 dyno pulls and makes 716 whp. It has been the drag strip eight times, racing in events from Florida to Texas to Ohio. Our team partnered and worked with HP Tuners engineers to validate the flashing procedure, beta test this new product and define all the required calibration tables. Full tuning support allows proper ECM calibration and tuning for aftermarket intake, throttle body, downpipes and more. Now you can have increased boost and higher rev limiters with no more Check Engine light! Please note that you must ship your original ECM to HP Tuners for unlocking service in order to start the tuning process. This means you will need to plan ahead to be without your car for a short period of time. Although it’s technically possible to learn a new ECM to your car, that process would permanently immobilize your original ECM, and there would be no way to restore it’s functionality. For this reason, we strongly recommend only shipping your original ECM to HP Tuners for unlocking service. If your car has the A10 Automatic transmission, you will need to have your ECM unlocked and tuned. You also have the option to get your TCM unlocked and tuned, but this is not required. Please note that you must ship your original ECM to HP Tuners for unlocking service in order to start the tuning process. This means you will need to plan ahead to be without your car for a short period of time. In order to safely run ethanol fuel blends in ATS-Vs, you will need LPFP, fuel cam, HPFP internals, alcohol content sensor and wideband oxygen sensor. For CT4-V Blackwings, all that’s needed is the fuel cam! When you purchase our tune, we typically cover any and edits you may want or need for the first 30 days. After that, our annual or monthly tuning subscriptions allow you to continue with data scan review and tuning edits. This would cover things like new periodic checkups, new mods, different octane fuels, race track specific tunes, etc. The Prepaid One Year Subscription provides access to tuning services (at a 50% discount compared to ordering a Basic Monthly Subscription)! Gigs ported throttle body increases airflow potential at WOT. Brisk spark plugs are colder than stock, with smaller gaps and come with anti-seize and dielectric grease for proper installation. Tapout downpipes are available in resonated or EPA catted varieties. OEM hardware kit includes all gaskets and hardware required for downpipes installation. Purple Belt adds basic fuel system modifications, allowing you to run flex fuel in your CT4-V Blackwing. Results CT4-V Blackwing: JB4 Tuner Will all of the driving modes still work? Does it still adjust power based on driving mode? Yes, all driving modes will work the same as they do now. Below 3,000 rpm, the car will feel completely stock in all modes. Above 3,000 rpm, you’ll have more boost and power than before. Can the JB4 be easily removed from the car for dealership visits? The JB4 does not change any factory ECM settings. So you can easily remove the JB4, leaving no trace behind. Will the JB4 cause any Check Engine lights? No. Can the JB4 turn off Check Engine lights caused by resonated downpipes? No, we still don’t have ECM access, so there is no way to disable DTCs or eliminate Check Engine Light with aftermarket downpipes yet. Can a dealership tell the JB4 was previously installed? There is no way a dealership would be able to detect the JB4 had been previously installed. Which spark plugs are best for White and Blue Belt Performance Packages Running the JB4 Tuner? RR12YS or RR12S will work fine. RR12YS may last a little longer. RR12S will perform a little better. Do your Brisk spark plugs come gapped already? Yes, we pre-gap them to .027”. However, the gaps should be double checked prior to installation. What octane fuel will I need to run? We will include separate calibration maps for 91, 92 and 93 octane. You can switch between them in very easily via the JB4 cell phone app. What if I want to eventually run E85? We’re still working on finalizing all the details for our Purple and Brown Belt Performance Packages, which will run E85 fuel. What if I already purchased some of the White or Blue Belt Performance Package items? You can deselect any items you already purchased when you place your order. Who installs this? You can install it yourself, or you could bring the car to our shop here in Ohio if you prefer. However, we have tuned the same LF4 engines in hundreds of ATS-Vs all over the world. Many are in Dubai, and that’s one of the hottest regions in the world. Plus, the CT4-V Blackwing has a significantly improved cooling system. You can learn more about that HERE. What is the difference between the JB4 Tuner and the DCM products? They are completely distinct products from different manufacturers, with different electronics, different software, different sensor taps, different user interface and different custom tuning ability. The only thing they have in common is that they both allow the cars to be tuned outside of the ECM. Is this your tune or Burger's? We have been working on our in house dynamometer, and have completed 225 full throttle Blackwing pulls to date. We have spent considerable time and effort testing and validating the JB4 product for the CT4-V Blackwings, and are currently developing and refining their calibration maps for the perfect combination of increased power, while still retaining safety and reliability. Other tuners who haven’t done the proper testing may elect to turn the knobs up higher than we do, but they don’t really care about the longevity of your engine. Is there software available to tweak if needed or does it all go through them? If you want to create your own calibration, you can use Map 6 and edit via your cell phone app. What if I use a competitive tuner to turn help me turn up my JB4 for even more power? Don’t worry. We can take care of your engine replacement on site What is the E.T.A. of flex fuel capabilities? We’re working on it right now, but cannot give a precise E.T.A. at this time. Will the car still be OK for long road trips? When you’re not in the gas, the tunes will perform identical to stock. So the car will still be totally fine on long road trips. Will the air filters, ported throttle body, downpipes and other bolt-ons add power to my CT4-V Blackwing? Bolt-ons do not typically increase horsepower for untuned CT4-V Blackwings, since the ECMs are torque based. If you install something that helps the engine to flow more air, the ECM just commands a little less boost, and power output remains the same. This is why all our CT4-V Blackwing Performance Packages include both parts and tuning.
